CANANA is an audiovisual project born with the aim of showing the ocean life and some of the problems it faces. Portraying its submerged beauty and showing the activities carried out by different marine conservation NGOs.

Maldives

More than thousand islands spread over 35.000 square miles. Maldives is 95% ocean and offers some of the best dive sites in the world. Famous for its large population of manta rays and sharks, it also has some amazing soft corals. But it's the abundance of marine life throughout the country that sets it apart from other dive destinations.

The Gentle Giant

Whale shark, the largest fish in the world. This graceful and harmless animal reaches their incredible size by eating plankton. Whale sharks are filter feeders, they push a huge amount of water into the mouth and separate food from the water with their gill rakers.

CCMI's research center is located in Little Cayman, recognized as a Blue Hope Spot because of the high abundance of threatened and endemic species found there.

There are few places in the world where manta rays gather at night looking for large concentrations of plankton. Once they find it, the dance begins.

Centro de recuperación de tortugas marinas

Palma Aquarium rehabilitation centre, treats injured and sick marine turtles brought in from all the Balearic Islands. This animals usually suffer from diseases and/or injuries caused by boats, discarded fishing gear or ingested plastic that is mistaken for food. They also run different workshops and activities to raise awareness about all the threats that sea turtles are facing.

Cetacis al Maresme

Posidònia2021 is an environmental organization located 30 km north from Barcelona, on the catalan coast. They run different projects to increase public understanding on the importance of preserving the marine ecosystem near Mataró.
